Useful Keyboard Shortcuts

Most keyboard shortcuts apply to editing text but this table lists a few that are handy when scripting. Mac users may need to use cmd instead of ctrl. Please refer to documentation. It is best to make a backup copy of Etoys before saving any alterations to the image through the world menu.


Etoys
ctrl-z Undo: Will undo last action taken only unless infinite undo selected in preferences.
ctrl-o Open object catalogue
ctrl-r Redraws the project window.
alt-. Pauses processing and brings up debugger.
alt-, Brings up Etoys Source menu.
Squeak
alt-shift-W Brings up World menu and access to underlying features.
ctrl-b Brings up System browser. View and edit classes.
ctrl-k Brings up Workspace window. Edit and run Smalltalk code or create and save text files here.
